Deep Wreck - Environment + Character art and UI
Deep Wreck is a short horror game made in 2 weeks for Senscape Adventures Game Jam (organised by Epic Games).
The theme of Halloween Game Jam was: “We are going mad here”.I was responsible for the narrative, environment + character art and User Interface.
The level design and art were mostly hand drawn in Photoshop while some
UI elements were made in Illustrator and brought to Photoshop for texturing.Deep Wreck is a short horror game where you explore a shipwreck as a diver and uncover the ship's mystery and its secret. The game was made with Unreal Engine 5.
The game won overall 4th place out of 23 entries, with the most compliments for our audio and sound design.
Initially, we were a team of five. However, after the first few days, two team members stopped responding, and we had to find a workaround with constant communication and collaboration. For the majority of the time, only the game designer and I were working on the game. We added sound effects and music in the last two days of the Jam. For most of the team, this was their first Game Jam or gig in the game development world.
Despite all the challenges, I am very proud of the end product and the game's recipient.Play the game HERE
